Abe Fleishman, Craig Lewis(Joe Blow) and special guest Mike Fro. Will be hosting our open house this month. With a Free Furnace Demo on Friday the 27 Th. 5pm-11pm Music, Drinks, Raffles.

There will be a Two day class with these three artist. This class will cover the basic steps that it takes to melt Borosilicate glass in a furnace. We will cover safety when using the boro furnaces. We will also melt some glass and talk about what is going on in the furnace when the glass is being melted. We will also go over how to replace elements and also the best way to take care of your equipment so you get the most out of your equipment. We will have Skutt furnaces. We will be dipping out of the pots and trying to explain the process to make the best tubing and rod you can with the least amount of waste. This class will be short but I think you will get the basic idea of how the process works. Understanding the costs involved in melting BORO will be the challenge for all that are getting ready to buy or use a furnace to dip boro. We will also have info about crucibles and tools that will help you with the least amount of cost and waste. This class will be fun for all involved.
