Default Adjustable nail danger

I was super excited about all these adjustable nails out there and all. There just not safe. HE, DnF, tipower are the ones that I know use stainless threads on there adjustable nails. They smell like a burning hot knife.

anyways, I guess the moral of the story is stick to non-adjustable nails.

Ya I just posted in the other thread u were commenting on...all the adjustables use stainless for at least the rod, maybe more parts, i know stainless isn't good to heat a lot but why? It's more porous and breaks down easier? if you are worried about metal particulates wouldn't the water filter just filter those out at least? I have debated this for a long time and kind of realized if you aren't directly using the stainless to vape off of then it probably was fine in other areas, I would like to hear your reasoning for this being bad tho

I dont have any scientific reasoning other than taste, and smell. From what other people say stainless isnt safe. Some expert on ti vs stainless should chime in

Ya we def need to hear from some experts cause just the taste and smell shouldn't rly be that good of indicators, I mean shit sometimes when I'm at my other friends who doesn't clean his rigs as much the hits small and taste different even with the same Errl just because the shit we use is so dirty and claimed up...idk what it is but smell and taste are rly not valid claims to it being unhealthy

I'm gonna quote myself a bit here:

Here's some of my observations with using my IR thermometer and v3 HE nail

Head read 367 right after heating

I checked the thread at the same duration after heating and it read 171

I was under the impression that my DnF nail threaded rod was ti? Sure seems to be from the naked eye.

Guys this debate has been goin on for awhile, just not towards adjustable nails.
What holds the TI in place on a hmk unit? Stainless steel bike spoke.
Should you be worried? If you arent vaping offf the spoke you should be fine.
Id imagine itd be the same for the rods on these adjustable nails.
You are dabbin on the Ti right?
Then you should be fine.
