Ferts of Choice

ive been readin a lot of the grow journals lately and it seems that most people run the fox farm line. has any of the growers on here that has used fox farm, also used any other fertilizer companies products to compare the two? ive seen botanicare mentioned on here but not as frequently as fox farm. obviously if youve had good results with 1 brand your gonna go with the if it aint broke dont fix it method, but just wondered if any of our growers were curious enough to try out other brands and what they thought about their product.

I used foxfarm products before and they work pretty good, but I eventually ended up sticking with sunleaves guano and earth juice microblast.

I stick by using guano because of the flavor.

I use the Fox Farm line of liquid and soluble soil nutes along with some other additives. Be careful with the dosing, FF seems to be a bit hot for some strains and will cause burn even in soil. I usually use 1/2 to 3/4 of the recommended dose every 3rd or 4th watering with excellent results.

I am using a full FF regiment as well and I agree that the recommended is high i too lower the dosage. But the plants seem to love the nutes so far

Botanicare's product line is top notch. I have in the past used FF, but have found Botanicare to give a better tasting product. Don't forget to flush for atlest two weeks and most ferts will be removed, this is the key to tastey produce.

General hydroponics makes some good nutes that the plants love (micro, grow, and bloom), also nice to add some liquid karma from botanicare into the mix.

What about Advanced Nutrients? I subscribe to Urban Grower on YouTube and that's what he swears by, anyone have experience with that fert?

Great stuff, but I don't think it's readily available in a lot of areas. I've only found one store in my entire state that stocks the Advanced Nutrients line. Botanicare and Fox Farm seem to be available at every shop I've been too.

Remo works with AN I'd hope to hell he swears by it LOL

I havent used fox farm at all.....I've used DNF and Botanicare Pure Blend Pro lately, now I'm 100% Botanicare, the taste of organic says it all. I did take a 10-15% hit in yeild but thats fine with me. Some say they get the same yeilds with organics...I used all the same add ons just switched the base nutes at first and took a slight loss.
