i had my sour zong stolen from me a while back.. a real sketchy kid got it-doesn't give a shit about good glass- i was worried she was gone forever.

thanks to roachy, i got it back
and that kid was really sorry he took it, and will be reminded how sorry he is on a regular basis.

I wear several hats at several jobs.. and still can't afford all the glass I want.

I have a massive collection.. but you don't see my arsenal cluttered with Deppe work

All I can add for advice is work hard, save your dough... and be picky.

Lots of guys my age collect baseball cards..
and as soon as Topflight makes GonG percolated baseball cards I might consider collecting them too.


but for now.. bring on the borosilicate bad ass-ness.

i have gone out of my way to go to glassblowing events and meet the artists that i have an admiration for their glass. it's not that hard to meet them. once ur there and establish a working relationship to be able to have access to their glass. The one problem with this tho is that you get what you get. and by that i mean in a shop you can look at 10 pieces from an artist you enjoy and pick the one you feel is the very best. u pay a premium to get it, but it's exactly what you want.
