New breeding project

I just started a new breeding project 2 weeks ago. I am working with 2 strains that I have been growing for about 3 years now Zindica and NYCD. Zindica comes from Bluemountin seeds a fatal 4 way cross of (NL's x G-13 x AK-47 x Jamacian Kingsbreed). The NYCD is from Soma.

I am also working with 1 strain I have a little experience of 1 year with Royal Orange (Cali-o x Skunk #1) from Nova and a new strain called Celtic Frost from Nova.

I will be back crossing and crossing them all depending of course what males are available. I started 14 seeds from all 4 strains and all but 3 germed.

I am looking to first backcross and cross Zindica and NYCD. 2nd goal is to Back cross and cross the Royal Orange with Zindica and NYCD.

Their only 10 day's from seed in a soil-less mix under a 1000 watt MH.

I'll keep this updated and run threw the selection prosses and what I am looking for in each strain for breeding. I'll run threw every aspect from sexing, seeding and harvesting.

So let's get started

Just a quick update. The grow is doing very well. The Royal Orange will surely be back crossed and I am concidering crossing it with NYCD. What do you all think, sound like a good cross? Should cut flower times down a bit and possibley making the high even stronger.

The NYCD is a fairly short plant but the RO may also help with size as well.

So heres a few pics at just over 2 week's old. Most are on their 6th noad.

Sounds like an excellent cross to me!

What soiless mix are you using?

Promix hp with added coco coir, perlite and grow rock's. I did add a little soil to the seedling cups to help provide a little nutrient for the 1st few week's.

Hey Syko2,

I have never had the chance to try any of the strains you have mentioned so I know nothing about any of them, what traits are you looking for with each of them?

You say your going to backcross the Purple Zindica and NYCD, have you already crossed them before then, or have I read your post wrong?

This is going to be a fun thread to watch for sure

I have crossed the Zindica and NYCD befor but I have not backcrossed them yet. When I did cross them I only got a few seeds and the cross I feel is week right now so I am going to backcross and cross the new plant's & older stock as to continue to work with them. I was just loking to cross them again hoping for better results.

What I beleive your refering to is the Royal Orange, I am looking to cross the RO with the NYCD also.

I'll keep it updated.

The genetics were not good. Dont get me wrong I did not grow them out but after a few weeks they just did not seem to grow well so I just pulled them. If I backcross one of the parent strains to the cross it should help. The Zindica already has 4 strains involved with it's make up so I guess it's going to be over doing it but it is worth a try
