Agreed. I think it's a combination of more buyers and less product. Going through the ALT thread, it looks like they used to post A LOT more SG. Not to mention all kinds of sick collabs that we really haven't seen lately.

I quit going thru aqualab when I realized how much they mark stuff up,

Buying SG second hand doesn't seem the best either, I love when I see someone list a Stem8 they paid 7 or less on and have used and then list at 8... esp when they use some lame excuse to try and justify it.

As well the 4holes, ne one who spends a few hundred on one is a moron, im sorry if any of who have but c'mon being SG or not its not even close to being worth that.

I think it's more for collecting purposes? It's worth whatever to whoever that wants the piece a lot.

If you look at it from a point of view from a non-glass collector, spending $500 on a stem-8 is retarded already, let alone the $800 re-sell value. Spending $400+ on a Kobuki or Snodgrass marble is also very moronic, in most people's eyes. Unless, of course, they are collectors!

You can't say spending the $200-$300 on an SG slide is ridiculous because it's all subjective. Not that I buy those 4-holes haha I don't see the price there either, but I don't think it's dumb that people buy em.

they know people will pay because they're a reputable seller and theyre appealing to collectors who don't care about price...

i see where you're coming from kansas with SOME THINGS on ALT but as far as im concerned when i walk into my local shop the prices are the same if not WORSE.. i saw a tube i liked and the sticker was 1200 guy says he'd do 900 cash if i was serious. which i was/still am..

but said tube is on ALT for like 750 right now... so it depends who paid what and when.. ALT must get some sorta discount cause they buy in serious bulk

I can see it from a collectors standpoint I guess beemz but even then I just don't see it but im not hating on the ones who do it if ppl are paying it. I just hate when I get charged that bc I dont agree with it and all, I wont spend over retail for worked production pieces in any case unless it was a rare collab or something. I feel retail is more then fair regardless if its sg. Theres no reason to drive prices up as this is why ALT probably charges what they do in the first place, that and payroll, overhead, etc..

I have a head shop near me that buys stuff from ALT and marks it up from there to resell

As far as the hate for those that spend hundreds on slides, what about ak, Pakoh, sling, Koji, etc slides? They all go for hundreds too, some as plain as the sg ones. so anyone not buying the cheapest thing they can find is a moron?

Art appreciates, drug paraphernalia depreciates. If it's not worth it it won't sell. I wouldn't sell my sg for less than I paid on her...

He just dropped the dab onto the honeyhole right before the video started.

So the second the video starts the dab is actually heating up to the point where it transforms from solid to vapor, it doesn't just happen instantaneously and needs time.
