Got my King Stemline yesterday. The thing is a beast obviously. Thinking maybe I should have gone with the smaller 75mm natty stemline since the King seems so huge. Adding an AC to the tube makes me unable to clear the hit in one breath so I've been rocking it without one.

To those referring to SG prices, ALT, markups, etc.

Remember, EVERY piece of scientific/heady glass is deemed "too expensive" or "ridiculous investment" in the eyes of the public. If you asked any random, average individual about buying a pipe/tube to smoke out of, they'd probably be willing to spend around $50 max, because the point to them is to smoke and have their flowers be used efficiently to where they get the most money out of it. I know someone who has a simple, $50 glass/on/glass beaker and refuses to spend money on glass that is more high end. He spends quite a hefty amount on flowers each month too, but to him his tube is all he needs to get to where he wants to be. There are people that you could whip out a US Tubes straight and they would say its' the nicest piece they've ever seen, or those people that would not be impressed at all unless you whip out a JLee/Carlson collab. I think we've established that most people on this forum are willing to spend the extra money towards higher quality glass, and no one should be questioning the value of some of the pieces on here. People will pay however much it takes to acquire the things that they want. Some will pay $800 for a Stem 8 while others would only pay $500, it all depends on how much it means to them. Are there tubes out there that function as well as an SG for half the price? Of course, but do the aesthetics and function of an SG appeal to some more than others? Of course.

Different strokes for different folks. Remember supply and demand greatly affects not only the primary market, but the secondary market as well. As long as people want what you have, price is irrelevant.

So anyone who makes money and buys a slide for couple hundred is a moron because you think it's a rip off? News Flash: People have more money than you so they will buy better shit. They buy a 900 dollar globe/slide to put on their 3000 dollar peyote pillar. I know guys who have money flowing out of their asses and they buy expensive slides, globes such as the r2d2 globe going for $1000..get ANYTHING just cuz they can. At this point it doesn't matter if its worth it. They get what they want. Everyone wants to have a sick ass set up for when their homies roll through. Don't call them morons for having more money than you.

loved my mini natty but it was small for flowers to me. but i feel the pillar is honestly the perfect tube for me, especially when you throw an a/c on it
