BHO tek for non-vaccuming purges - Page 15

has anyone ever looked at the BHO process and how we could maybe modify it?

I've always only known the bho process being the same as the one on the first page... overgrow was where i learned it, but it has been YEARS since then... has anyone ever thought of alternative methods? or does everyone think "if it isn't broken, don't fix it"

i mainly ask this b/c i know i could construct a glass device if there was something worth building... i just figure there has to be a way with tubes and gongs that we could make something purer...at least something different than the regular oil setup... maybe

feel free to flame me, but i gotta ask

Well I think as it stands the general BHO technique is pretty great and can be applied by just about anyone. Most of the people on TC have access to all the necessary tools an materials so that they can do an extraction relatively safely on their own. I mean, there's always people out there looking for a better method. Thats why you see threads popping up every now and again with someones thinking of running a CO2 or hexane extraction, or a change in their technique. It is all to see if there is a purer, simpler method for doing all of this. Not sure if I answered your question, but I figure the method used today is very good.. at least compared to how it used to be done years ago

Hey TC!

have a quick question look at my tube am i overpacking it? there seems to be a lot of oil just on the sides of the tube i let it there for a few after i used the butane to let it drip, but still there is this much left in the tube!

rinse it with iso and you can evap the iso and then learn on what you are "missing out on"

this is why i use a stainless steel tube...not as much oil sticks to the steel
