Need advice on storing my Pyrology coil

Hey TC-

I tried searching the forum/internet for some input on the best way to take care of my coil condenser and make it last for hopefully years to come, but came up short on finding a solid answer.

I have seen 2 people say that they leave their coil condenser in the freezer at all times, unless they are about to actually use it. This was my original plan, but I am starting to wonder if that is a straight idea or not.

My fear is that leaving the coil in the freezer 24/7 will somehow degrade the quality of the glass, and eventually the glass will crack. However, I also wonder if constantly taking the coil out of the freezer (i.e. leaving it out of the freezer every night) will cause the glass to expand/contract more frequently and would actually be horrible for the glass.

If any one of you TC'ers have had a coil for a while, I would really appreciate the advice. I just picked up the Pyrology yesterday and am hoping to make it last for at least a few years.

I've seen illys leak so now I'm wary of glycerin coils but I've always heard the best way is to put it in the freezer just to cool down for use but store it outside for the most part. Aside from the male joint, that tube looks fun!

Thanks man, I actually ordered one in green with a female joint but they sold out of them..got an additional 10% off on this one so I looked past the male joint.

Thanks for the suggestion on the coil.
