Best way to start Original Haze seeds

hi
what is the best way to start Orig. Haze seeds? I have heard it is a difficult strain. any tips would be greatly appreciated. psychedelicman

ive never heard that its a hard strain but i always use the papertowel method to germinate

Some folks use a scuff box (a match box w/ a piece of fine sandpaper in it), or a razor blade to lightly scrape the husk of the seed a lil....this allows moisture to penetrate easier.

Personally, I like to soak seeds fer 12-24 hours in water, then plant in soil...then wait.

Indoors? you can flower from seedling stage...this can help with stretch and height restrictions.

Plants that are primarily sativa can be cloned up to the 4th week in flower.

Maybe requiring a little more patience. I have two sister plants that are 50% haze and another 25% skunk, so maybe 65-70% sativa. They need 3 months to flower instead of 2, but very little veg time(1wk).

So, time from clone to harvest is about the same as a typical indoor hybrid (8-9 week plant).

Sats are very efficient feeders, and can be picky about things like root space and poor drainage.

Also, indoors, some people run sats on an 11/13 flowering photo period.

i have had 100% success with both paper towel and putting them in a cup of water and waiting until they crack (usually, like bob said, not longer than 24 ish hours).

These are tricks for growing extreme sativa varieties, inside. Like running 13/11 'veg' (first month of flower) and 11/13 flower.

People may not be familiar because they usually dont grow a plant like haze indoors. It is not like typical indoor hybrids.

Don't flower the seed immediately, but you can flower from seedling stage. (1-2 weeks old) These plants will essentially 'veg' for the first month of flower.

The plant below was flowered from clone at about 4-5" tall. Haze will stretch.

The matchbox with emery board is good for real tough shelled seeds. Ive used it on Super Lemon Haze and it worked well
