i have been using a Ti nail recently until I got my ak recruit and it wont fit the dome.

i cant really tell a difference in taste. and in fact i might like glass better????
the Ti seems to produce a more generic oily taste while the glass lets the flavor come through. further research is definitely in order!!!

But I definitely like how the Ti vapes compared to the glass. It seems to evenly burn it all at once. while on the glass the oil "boils" as the oil is vaped off not giving as consistently thick of hits.

Ive been using oil units for almost 7 years now.. staring with one of the first Kut vapes HMK sent out, all the way through nails, domes, etc.. and Ive used almost every unit posted on any forum regarding oil consumption.
I even have one of the very first oil domes with glass nail ever poroduced ( By Toro BTW).. amd one of the only ones Toro made with a Ti nail.

this is my opinion based on trying them all ....for years.

the major difference is that glass nails crack after use.
they develop stress from repeated heating/cooling and no anneal time, and must be replaced often.

a Ti pad will last for years, although it will become very brittle after alot of use.

Ive never noticed a taste difference when both are red hot.
However.. I have noticed that the size of the bubbler used makes a HUGE difference.

the smaller.. the better.
anyone who hasnt experimented with bubbler size is missing a big factor in this debate.

IMHO.. the size of the bubbler makes the biggest difference in taste.. you guys are debating the wrong angle.

Just try a tiny golf ball sized bubbler.. with either set up ....and you will see what I am talking about.

they are heated with a brulee torch and used to use hash oil...

IMHO, I do believe that vapor from glass nails and vapor from ti nails do have a taste difference. I have a few ti nails and always have been trying to compare them to glass nails. The only thing shopmates, friends and I have been able to find that we don't like about a ti nail is the taste it leaves us with after use.

Unfortunatley, all my oil experience has been out of bongs that are usually used for smoking.

However, I now have a bong that I have restricted to solely oil which has helped the taste factor tremendously. I still really need to get a small oil bub at somepoint when I have more $$.

Hashcat, I def agree with what you said as well.

When using the TI, the dab seems to almost "poof" as soon as it hits the TI. But for the glass, it takes a little longer for the oil to be fully vaped.

So far, im partial to the TI because you don't have to worry about replacing glass nails (which is a pain for us non glass blowers >_< ). Also it seems to give more of a dense hit if you will :0.
