of the dish youre talking about, of the technique you're describing, the whole bit. i'm trying to picture this dish without edges, maybe i have something similar, but then how do you purge it? since it has no edges you cant exactly put it in hot water.. unless im understanding wrong |

![]() ![]() Hopefully you can see how it is from the pics. It was just the \"turntable\" in the center of the microwave. I dont have it submerged in water, its set on top of a pot of hot water over the stove.

I went from circular to rectangle back to circular. If you have a local cooking store with assorted pyrex you can find a circular dish sometimes where the lowest point is in the center and not on the edges. This way there is barely any scraping of corners at all. I run smaller amounts like a quarter or half at the most. just my2cents |

you spray the butane and then bring it in just put it right on the stove? is everyone doing this? i always give it a hot water bath first and then do the double boil (maybe i'm being paranoid about explosions?). which brings me to my next question, all those with rectangular pyrex, if you use the double boil method as a purge technique, how do you do this with a rectangular shape? |

I have a rectangular dish that sits just perfectly inside the lip of a deep dish pan i have. The dish sits about 1cm above the water. Thats how i usually do my runs |

I get the pot of water up to temperature, put the plate on top, bring it outside and spray. Then bring it back in(once all the liquid tane as evaped off, no more than 60 seconds), put it on the stove and finish purging. |

You're getting your circular dish far too hot if the butane doesnt make it to the edges IMO...largely contributing to unstable terpenes and air trapped in the oil. |

yeah i assume the easiest piece to fit the circular water pots would be a circular extraction dish |
