FastStone resizer. super easy, can choose the resolution quickly, no ads, and no cost.

thanks for the budshots!!

More than resize, croppin gives ya wutever size ya want. Ain't gotta stick to the 4:3 ratio.

Hmm, no heat here...very dry, yes...and I bin stayin mild (600-900ppm) on nutes. I right away thought of the low humidity, but the Ionics plants don't do it, jus the ones gittin Heavy Harvest (synthetic). That VPD is a salinity thing ain't it?...osmosis, nutrient transport, stuff right?

I'm assumin ya got the nomenclature right & that daddy wuz the SS. Lemme know how ya think it's performance did as a dad...kids more like mom or dad kinda thing.

Thx for the props Montana! I've smoked Blue Dream before and I agree, it's not the most potent, but it was great tasting and had a nice aroma. And I'm sure I'll be puffing on so many diff strains after this harvest that I'll be lit either way...

Thx for the advice and good karma sfzoo! I'd have to say the Automator works perfect on my MacBook Pro... In fact, I've maxed out this 2 gHz Intel i7 quad core with 8 gb of ram, so the speed is amazing...

I know, but I don't crop photos unless I'm trying to zoom in on some trichomes...

VPD is Vapor Pressure Deficit and it has an inverse relationship with Relative Humidity... It affects the stomatas which regulate transpiration, CO2 uptake, and these in turn affect photosynthesis.

That's excellent news! Yeah, I list the crosses as Mother x Father. Interestingly the plants both have the Sensi Skunk's structure and yield. The Double Underdawg was a yielder before, but the OG Kush cut was weak in the yield department... I'm really looking forward to smoking these girls... Thanks again for all the great discussions Bob!

K, is wut I thought then....the stomata are wide open if the plant's got water, meanin a greater flow of nutes to the leaves when it's low humidity. Lowerin the ppm should correct that. Or...the stomata are closed if the plant senses a lack of water, meanin a lessor flow of nutes to the leaves in any humidity. If the leaves ain't gittin the excess salts, they shouldn't be curlin.

This is wutz confusin me. I've lowered nutes, and eliminated nutes...no change in the curlin, but yellowin starts. Plants on Ionic do not show this symptom, only the HH, and they're mixed together under the same light.

Wonder if it has to do with the particular compound that is used fer an element....like the difference tween Fe 2+ and Fe 3+. Both are usable by the plant, but I wonder if there's a difference. Several of the elements needed kin be drawn in a coupla different compound forms.

Just odd I tell ya.

That is not surprising...the seed houses have used skunk males to pump up lines fer a long time. Lemme know how they smoke when ya git there.

If this went thru, then.....WOOHOO!!...I did it agin!

I will most definitely let everyone know how these Sensi Skunk crosses smoke...

Also, here's a quote on VPD that I've posted in the past... I think it was from Cannabis Culture's forum:

Quote:
VPD

If humidity is too low (i.e. high VPD), the stomata on the leaves tend to close in order to limit transpiration and prevent wilting. This closing of the stomata will also limit the rate of CO2 uptake and hence limit photosynthesis and consequently plant growth. Low humidity also reduces turgidity (water pressure within the plant cells) and this in turn also restricts growth. Blossom end rot in tomatoes and capsicum can also be attributed to low humidity (high VPD).

Conversely, if humidity is too high (i.e. low VPD) the stomata will fully open but even so the plants will be unable to evaporate enough water to carry minerals into the plant and so again, growth will be impeded and mineral deficiencies (particularly calcium) may occur. In addition, the plants may exhibit soft growth, fungal problems and mineral deficiency symptoms.

Hmmm... That's a great link! I added it to my bookmarks, but I'm hesitant to confirm Cu deficiency without seeing your plants and knowing all of the other variables such as pH of your nutrient mix and environmental conditions. I'll check out your thread to read more about your test of organics vs synthetics...
