Default GonG spokeless vape...

I guess I jacked HMKs thread
http://www.tokecity.com/forums/showt...d=1#post992343
Sorry about that.
I was looking over old threads about how people were making curves and the like and saw that HMK had the idea for an all glass curve-swing arm-plate set up some time back. Since I was doing research on a similar design I had to ask if he ever got it off the ground. Things got sideways and people got grumpy.
Basically I am making a curve set with boro curve, quartz arm and Ti plate. If you have any ideas as to how you would want it done or not done. Feel free to chime in here.
Once again I apologize for jacking HMKs thread. I did learn that HMK has some serious die hard fans on here! I am stoked to see that. Loyalty is a good thing.
How would you folks feel about more decorative wire wrapped swing arms as opposed to plain ol bike spokes?
What are your thoughts on the skillet/swing units Worm is making?
Those really remind me of the pipes bake in the late 90's with the magnifier on a swivel so you could take solars. Great idea, don't see many pieces like that anymore.
What are your thoughts on a series of 'ice pinches' above the flare as opposed to a metal screen?
I have a few more questions, I'll throw them at you later.
Thanks for your time.
Sorry again for any ruffled feathers.

As long as it functions and can withstand the constant reheating as well as the current wraps I see nothing wrong with it...Then again I don't see anything wrong with the current wraps.

I'm personally not a fan. But that's probably because I think vaping off quartz tastes like plastic.

I am all about the screen, you may find some helpful info regarding that question in this thread:

I look forward to checking out your design, although I doubt it will change my vaping habits

No wrapping involved. That is the whole point. You will see what I mean when I post pics.
Good question though!

Thanks for the reply. Not trying to change anyone's habits. I personally do not like the idea of Ti at all, but i was asked to make these up...so. Gotta fill those orders.
Oh, I already read that thread. Thanks though!

You're welcome, good luck with your orders.
Just wondering, but what do you mean when you say that you don't like the idea of TI?

You were vehemently opposed to metal wrapping in that thread. . . .
That is why Kut and others were objecting to your "opinions".....

And I don't know any professional that conducts "market research" by putting down others ideas.

UPS says my Ti should be here Saturday morning. So if the package shows when it should I will have them done soon. I am slammed with prodo orders for my standard designs, will try and fit in the curves A.S.A.P. Need to have a pile of simple GonG pushes and inside out spoons finished by Monday.

Obviously you did not read what I wrote. I don't like spokes. They look janky IMO. I like metal when done in an attractive manner. I actually listed a number of artists who use metal in their pieces that I just love.
I never 'put down' any ideas. I stated my opinion about the way some things look. If you take that as putting them down that is you misinterpretation of my statements. I have respect for what HMK has pulled off. I am very happy for him, and any other lamper who has such loyal fans.
