Small Run BHO Technique

Second run, first time Vac purge. Really would like to thank everyone here for the knowledge you share. First run I over heated my oil and taste was a lil off this time I vac'd it and love the results and TASTE is amazing never going back lol.

Any suggestions/comment on the oil itself? How can I improve on my return? I packed that really tight semi whole buds should I grind and spray again? Because I honestly feel like the buds had more potential?

^Thats what I was thinking also how do you get the corners of rectangle plates I got most of it but its seems near impossible to get the little bit thats left. I feel like I will be wasting it do any of you reclaim it with hot iso n evap or is their better method?

I scrape on to parchment paper put it in my over at 140*F and get the jar warm on the top rack so that the glass stays warm under Vac. I stick the oil in the bottom or middle rack and you should try and spread it to EVENLY Coat the paper so it purges consistently after its melty quickly stick in the glass chamber(jar for me [use proper safety]) n vac. I vac'd about 3-4 times (or until it stops reacting) and I remelt the oil for each vac sesh.

Just did my first small run. I made a SSTB and loaded 9.9g's into it. I did the extraction into a pie dish that was floating in a crock pot at 155 f. purging away the tane right now.

get a circular pyrex dish. you can bend the razor blades to the contours of the round dish and get more than you would trying to scrape the rectangular pyrex corners. or, spray into your pyrex while its in the hot water to keep the purge in the middle of the dish

why would you assume that? people lately are so concerned about this

crockpot.... there always plugged into something... meaning its close to electrical outlets

which are usually inside, although obviously there are ones outside its rare to see someone w a crockpot outside lol

I am actually in your kitchen, hope you do not mind.

So I got my results, I would say I should have purged a bit more, like 30 more minutes with a slight temp increase to get the last tane out. I will boil water and add it to the crock pot for the last bit of the purge next batch. but otherwise it tastes much better. Following the advice here is helping a lot, thanks guys. here is a pic, be nice cause I know it needs to purge more.



***Extension chords and electrical tape are great for safety if using a crock pot.

i used to bring an entire electric crock with water after it was hot outside and blast into that, stays hot for a minute

thanks. Not quite my first because I have done large runs in the past. but now since I am refining my oil habits; ie ti pads/nails, I need to fine tune the process. I read about the sstb tubes and decided to use it as the test tube while I am waiting for a friend to make be a smaller glass xtractor.
