Jump: is this a good summary of the thermos extraction part of your process? (If we're assuming they don't want to make Absolute Amber, just regular BHO)

Thank you for coming up with such an awesome extraction method and documenting it so well!

The state of the material, is it dry or juicy, grinded or whole, affects the extraction of pollutants from the interior of the plant body, but not the resin from its surface. Soaking time depends on the temperature of the solvent, the colder it is, the longer the exposure. I'm cooling the can and stuff in the thermos to -20C ~-4F, so adjusted my freezer. At such low temperatures the first half of the resin is dissolved in 20 minutes, and the second - over the next two hours. During this time, the temperature remains practically unchanged and the evaporation of butane is not happening. Although it would be enough to cool to -1C ~30F, just below the boiling point of butane, but I did not. |

wow jump that looks fantastic. Hey, can we see a picture of how you are consuming that lovely golden sap? I remember your wooden pipe (which was really sweet) from a while back but also remember HMK telling you he'd send you some TI soon thereafter, and I would just like to see how you smoke/ vape that stuff! |

The current prototype is made of the soldering iron with open ceramic heater, bottle and hose, without water. This is a fairly coarse unit, even awkward to take pictures. Quote:
Of course, I would be delighted to receive a copy of the legendary author's device, it would be great pleasure and great honor. But I have often opposed HMK in various discussions. It seems somewhat unethical to request to the person whose views I have mercilessly criticized. "Oh Lord Won't You Buy Me A Mercedes-Benz?" lol! ![]() |
