Wooden Bowl?

Hey everyone,

I get the craziest ideas sometimes, and i just had one. I widdle and like making things out of wood. Walking staffs, pipes,mini statues, etc. Would it be possible to make wooden bowl pieces for GoG. Now I realize that it wouldn't be glass on glass....it would be wood on glass,,and i was just curious is you guys think it would work. Just as something to mess around with when I'm bored.

Sure it would work. Just get the taper right. I'd like to see what you come up with!

Wow, thats a pleasent suprise. I thought the first reply would be about how you should just stick to glass. Thanks flame!

yup it is possible, just whittling down so that the joint makes a seal and then you could have it shaped however you want.

it never even dawned on me to try this i used to make my own hashpipes, but a bowl would be real nice!!

I've made bowls out of catlinite and alabaster for My GonG pipes, works fine. Made 'em on a modified pen lathe.
