Hey BBob, try 3M command stips! I have used them for awhile in my DWC set up with great success! U could probably find something cheaper...... When I was using the bar airstones I was using plumbing solder and wrapping coils around the airstones and that worked well. Isolation of the bucket will also help, I used 1/2" pink construction foam when I was growing on a carpeted floor.

Peace

How could this have happened? We started out like Romeo and Juliet, but instead it ended in tragedy. - Milhouse

I don't think I am doin very well.

She ain't really growin...and the edges are burnin.

She keeps poppin root tips outta the net pot, but then they die off. Today is the most root formation I've seen yet, and this is all it has...

...I'm wundrin if the vinegar wuz a bad idea.

I ain't really touched it since I checked things last time, jus bin peekin in the buckit once ina while. Startin to git slimy on the buckit, air lines, & stones. So, I figger'd it wuz time fer me to fuk with it. I got another buckit, scrubbed it clean, put 3 gallons of water in, and waited a few hours to let the chlorine evap. Then I tested the old mix...

930 ppm .... aboot 7.0 pH

Then I tested the new water, before mixin in anythin...

360 ppm .... lil under 7.0 pH

Mixed in an amount of nutes that wuz halfway between wut the manufacturer recommends fer rooted clone vs early veg. They say 5ml/gal each of Micro & Grow fer rooted clones, and 15ml/gal each fer early veg, so I did 10ml/gal each.

Left the set-up in the new buckit, while I dumped the old mix out of the covered one, and rinsed with scalding water to git rid of the algae. Then transferred everythin back after it wuz clean. Then I tested agin...

1020 ppm .... aboot 6.5 pH

That's it, I din't fuk with it any more than that...we'll jus hafta wait & see how it does now. Two people sed they'd bring me some Down, neither one did. But I felt I hadta change the water at least, and I din't wanna screw things up more by fukkin with the pH agin. I'll re-test things in the mornin, see how it's doin.

Jus wanna check somethin...make sure I'm doin it right, or find out if I'm doin it wrong. How I store my PPM pen...

The calibration solution comes in that lil packet. My buddy sed jus store it in the solution. So every time I'm done with it, I shake the water off it, put it in the packet, and bread-tie it closed. When I go to use it, I shake as much solution off in the packet as I kin, shake it out good when I remove it, then turn it on & use it. Am I doin all this right?

I wuz thinkin a board with hand-balls fer feet...carpet & pad the board, and the rubber balls should remove any remainin vibration. Somethin I be playin around with anyways. Thought aboot securin the stones too....er rather jus deadening them, like with aquarium gravel.

Good morning Bob and crew.
looks like a nice adventure your going on Bob. I am going go get all me crap out when I get back from FLA. I come back on the 5th or so. I'm going to get on board with the buckets when I get back. Should be a fun ride of learning something new.

I will be up just after I get back if thats cool.

You are right...I shall.

Nice links page.....bookmarked.

Jus checked things, it's settled down to...

930 ppm .... lil under 7.0 pH

The leaves are all perked up, aboot a 45* angle. Seems to be more burn though. The lil roots no longer have any darkish brown on them, they are now white...and a couple more tips have poked out.

...guess we'll jus wait & see wut she does.

Might be able to sink 'em in the ground some?...maybe in a trough of cooler water?

...jus thoughts that ran thru me head...not sure if they'd work or not.
