The pump I know is cheap. Next option is an EcoPlus Commercial Air 1 18watt (wut I really want)...but that runs $54.49 compared to the $9.49. I tossed the decision around fer a while tween the two, but ultimately went the cheapest route to try & show minimized cost fer the whole set-up. |

no bob, just leave the clones as is, in the pellet, bury it kinda deep in the hydroton, it wont take but a few days, and you'll see your roots out of the basket. I use rapid rooters, but i'd def leave the net on the pellet, to keep the peat intact. |

And so it begins... One things for sure, you are much more prepared for hydro than I was in Round 1. Good luck Butcher Bob! |

Alright, let's see where I'm at...here are the goodies I got... Quote:
![]() Got two 4" OxyStones. Got two 1/4" "T" connectors. (In pump box) Got 11' of 1/4" tubing. Got a lil bag of Hydroton. Got a Hanna Primo TDS Tester. Got the General Hydroponics pH Test Indicator, instead of the Hanna Checker pH Tester, as recommended. He din't have any TDS calibrating solution, so I will git by with the supplied packet til I kin git some next time I go up. ![]() He din't have the cleaning solution, so I will pick that up next time as well. ![]() Cuz I din't git the pH pen, I din't need the 7.01 solution either. Din't git the pH Up or pH Down either. He sed there's a good chance my levels will be fine, and that if I need correction in a pinch I kin use vinegar fer Down and baking soda fer Up. If I find my levels ain't good, I will pick up wutever I need. ![]() Quote:
I know that prick told me dry. But the next day when we wuz goin over the pen I got, he sed store the probe in the calibrating solution....wet, like you sed.![]() Quote:
Wuz too late to git started by the time I got home today, so I'll git 'er set up tomorrow. I'll do pics on exactly how I put it all together...so that if I'm right, folks will have a good example...and if I'm wrong, y'all kin spank me fer it. I'll be usin Nutrilife's Heavy Harvest in the buckit fer the remainder of this season. Next season I'll git a second buckit to do some comparison grows...first up's gonna be the General Hydroponic Flora series, Grow, Micro, & Bloom, run against Nutrilife's Heavy Harvest series, Grow, Micro, & Bloom. Also, gonna try to work out a deal with ona the General Hydroponics folks, to see if they'll lend me one of each system they make (jus one at a time), to do testin & reviews on...in exchange fer the data & publicity from those tests & reviews. I've already met the young man, and we've talked quite extensively aboot GH products, competitors products, and many of the issues that affect the industry. Fer his age, he is extremely well informed. I would like to see if there's some kinda aquaponic system he kin set me up with too. ![]() |
