Budswel's bin around fer ever...yet I've never tried it. But now that I'm venturin off to try the organic soil mix, I might jus hafta git soma this.

I went out to git a coupla more cheap 20 gal totes, to keep soils in, and wuddaya think I saw...."Made in the USA". I will be doin a review of these.

Called my buddy...he indeed wants the clones.

MUDRO!!....WTF dude! git yer ass in here. Hope yer ears are burnin now.

Well, I bin doin some organizin & cleanin in the grow area. Wuz gittin to the point where I wuz trippin all over shit agin. Plus I wuz havin too much materials & equipment sittin in other rooms. So now I got everythin restricted to the grow area agin...'cept fer equipment that needs repairs. Got all the yellow stuff harvested, & filled back up with green. Boy that makes a BIG fukkin difference on yer outlook of things.

Today's job is to shake some soil outta some root balls...got a buncha pots with stumps now.

    Organic vs Synthetic

    "Are you ready to rummmmble!"

    It's time fer a smackdown.

"Introducing, in the green corner, hailing from Mother Nature...Organic!"

The soil base for organic is:
    3 parts Pro-Mix BX
    2 parts Pro-Mix HP
    2 parts Used soil
    1 part Worm castings

    The nutrient amendments are:
    - 1 cup Bone Meal
    - 1 cup Blood Meal
    - 1 cup Kelp Meal
    - 1 cup Granulated Lime
    - 1 cup Alfalfa pellets (dissolved in water)
    - 1/4 cup Epsom Salts
(per 16 gallons of soil base)

    Additional amendment options:
    - Dry-Bar Bat Guano
    - Liquid Seaweed
    - Fish Emulsion
    - Molasses

The soil has bin mixed & "cookin" fer a month now...should be ready to go. This is my first attempt at an organic soil. More detail information aboot the soil mix kin be found here...
    Bob's first Soil Mix

"And also introducing, in the blue corner, hailing from the laboratories of Man...Synthetic!"

The soil base for synthetic is:
    3 parts Pro-Mix BX
    2 parts Pro-Mix HP
    2 parts Used soil
(the Worm castings are organic, & therefore left out of the synthetic side's soil base)

The nutrients are Heavy Harvest, a product of Nutrilife Plant Products, made in Canada, and consist of three components:

    Micro 2-5-10
    Total Nitrogen (N)...1.5%
    Nitrate Nitrogen (N)...1.5%
    Phosphoric Acid (P2O5)...4.0%
    Soluable Potash (K2O)...7.0%
    Total Magnesium (Mg)...1.0%
    Water Soluable Magnesium (Mg)...1.0%
    Sulfer (S)(combined)...1.5%
    Boron (B)...0.01%
    Copper (Cu)(Chelated)...0.01%
    Iron (Fe)(Chelated)...0.08%
    Manganese (Mn)(Chelated)...0.02%
    Molybdenum (Mo)(Chelated)...0.001%
    Zinc (Zn)(Chelated)...0.02%
    Chlorine (Cl)(Chelated)...less than 0.05%

    Grow 7-0-4
    Total Nitrogen (N)...5.2%
    Nitrate Nitrogen (N)...4.1%
    Ammoniacal Nitrogen (N)...1.1%
    Available Phosphoric Acid (P2O5)...0.0%
    Soluable Potash (K2O)...2.8%
    Calcium (Ca)...3.0%

    Bloom 3-7-8
    Total Nitrogen (N)...2.4%
    Nitrate Nitrogen (N)...2.4%
    Available Phosphoric Acid (P2O5)...5.7%
    Soluable Potash (K2O)...6.6%
    Calcium (Ca)...4.6%

The Micro is the base of the nutrient package and is used the entire time. It is mixed in equal parts with either the Grow or the Bloom, depending on the stage yer at. The Micro is mixed in the water first, and then the second component is added last & mixed in. It is important to mix the Micro in water b'fore addin the Grow or the Bloom, due to chemical reactions that may occur in concentrated form.

For the vegetative stage, the recommended mix levels are:
Mild (660 ppm): 8 ml Micro + 8 ml Grow
Normal (1300 ppm): 18 ml Micro + 18 ml Grow
Strong (1700 ppm): 25 ml Micro + 25 ml Grow
    Per 4 liter of water

For the flowering stage, the recommended mix levels are:
Mild (600 ppm): 7 ml Micro + 7 ml Bloom
Normal (1100 ppm): 15 ml Micro + 15 ml Bloom
Strong (1500 ppm): 20 ml Micro + 20 ml Bloom
    Per 4 liter of water

AFOAF has a hand in these products, so I wuz asked to try them out. I like tryin out new shit, so I agreed. Although I've started usin it on other existing plants, this will be the first full run using it. More information kin be found at...

Woohoo....I got regular 'net access finally!

Sounds like a good showdown BB! Ya know I'm partial to the organics...

I was trying some hempy buckets using GH nutes but, alas....I never got to see them to the end. They seemed to be working well...a bit easier in some aspects...
When I do go back I'll probably stick w/ the organics w/ liberal molasses usage....gotta keep the micro herd happy!

    Peace...wpw
