i'm slightly south of you (other side of the falls) and being this far north we have a fairly short flowering window so i try to grow quicker finishing strains.i havest my 8-9 week strains around mid october, they've been flowering for a few weeks now. my other strains 10+ weeks are just starting to bud and will stay in the ground as long as i can leave them usually. this is because the mold, once the colder weather sets in and it's gonna rain heavy for a day or two, its time to pull them no matter how far along they are. frost will kill some leaves, (but thats no biggie) if it rains the leaves will start to mold, and if you can't remove the leaves the mold spreads.
in conclusion, if they are quick flowering strains check them with a magnifying glass and pick em when the trichomes are how you like em. if they are longer flowering strains watch the weather and plan to pull them once the frost is on and rain is coming

    Default marijuana outdoor growing

The flowering period starts in the month of September, as the night is longer , the plants requires plenty of nutritions , u have to start flushing it to get the best yield out of it.

It starts before September usually. I saw buds forming on my out door this year starting around mid-August
